Mike Buchanan, the powerhouse behind the UK organisation Justice 4 Men & Boys (J4MB), has recently initiated a Private Prosecution against Joseph Spitzer, a doctor that has circumcised thousands of boys in his career, in order to test UK law on the topic of circumcision.

According to UK legislation dating back to the 1800’s, Circumcision is at least Actual Bodily Harm (ABH) and possibly even Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH), both very serious crimes, however charges are almost NEVER laid. This lack of enforcement of the law is what Mike Buchanan is attempting to highlight with this case and will hopefully achieve an outcome that will change contemporary policy.
